Resort Facilities Dolphin Heads Resort offers the full holiday experience for every member of the family. The kids are well catered for with a tennis court, pitch & putt golf, pool table, ping pong table, games room, playground and huge lagoon pool. For the adults, enjoy a relaxing dip in the heart-shaped spa, followed by a tropical cocktail at the poolside Lagoon Bar and an intimate dinner for two in the fine dining Ripples Restaurant as the sun sets over the water.

Our Executive Chef Darren McMahon and his team of chefs take pride in producing some of the best dishes in the northern regions. Their stunning new A La Carte menu coupled with their amazing talents ensures a brilliant dining experience. Our friendly Restaurant staff add a friendly and vibrant atmosphere to your evening, whilst you sit entranced by the magnificant view overlooking the pool to the beautiful glow of an ocean sunset.
The Lagoon bar lunch menu is designed to be relaxed, affordable and diverse. A menu of pizzas, wraps, salads and fish and chips allows you a choice of something light, so as not to interfere with your swimming, or something a little more substantial to allow you to sample more of our bar beverages.

Room Facilities
All suites are fully furnished with comfortable and stylish resort furnishings. Independently controlled air conditioning, TV and DVD player, Austar TV channels, ceiling fans, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryers, microwave ovens, iron and ironing board and your own private balcony or patio.
All have ensuite bathroom facilities and a queen sized bed with either a single bed or a double sofa pull-out couch. We have several choices of accommodation styles including deluxe spa rooms and interconnecting suites.
Most suites are set around the resort’s gardens or pool areas. The Ocean View suites offer direct access to the beachfront with stunning island views.
Ground floor suites feature terra cotta tiled floors and patios; while the upper level suites are fully carpeted and have walkout balconies.
Weddings & Functions
Dolphin Heads Resort is the ideal venue for beautiful weddings and special functions. Our facilities and environment offer the perfect combination for ceremonies, receptions, birthdays, anniversaries… whatever the occasion. We would love to host your event at any one of our venues: from the Dolphin Room and Ripples Restaurant to poolside under the Marquee or at the oceanfront Beach Club. A range of dining menus is available, from cocktail parties, informal BBQs to ala carte and buffet dining. Menu inclusions and pricing are flexible and based upon discussion of your specific requirements.

Dolphin Heads Resort is located just 20 minutes drive from Mackay Airport.

Mackay’s C.B.D. is 15 minutes away.

You can view the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands from the resort. All reef tours, rain forest tours, day tours are available from our tour desk, and the reception staff would be pleased to book them for you.

The Pioneer Valley is a picturesque wonderland of natural beauty. Visit and actually see platypus in their natural surroundings!

Mackay is a centre of industry with sugarcane, Mining and is even the home of Dame Nellie Melba – Visit the original salt hut!
